CIMDA Care wins the Bronze Prize of the 2nd Smart Ageing Award
CIMDA Care, a comprehensive AI assistance system for older people developed by CIMDA at CityU, has been honoured with the Bronze Prize in the 2nd Smart Ageing Award for Health Care and Well-Being, which is held by the Golden Age Foundation.

The President of CityU, Professor Freddy Boey Yin Chiang, led a delegation from CityU to meet with Mr Lu Zhiyuan, Deputy Secretary of the Shandong Provincial Committee and Secretary of the Qingdao Municipal Committee of the Chinese Communist Party, on 2 August. The two parties signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish the CityU-Qingdao Innovation Research Institute in Qingdao’s West Coast New Area and to strengthen cooperation in new materials, new energy, biomedicine, marine science and AI.

On 5 February, the University announced the winners of the Fourth Applied Research Excellence Awards Competition, organized every two years by the Technology Transfer Office, to foster applied research and to recognize staff that excel in this area.
