The Court, the supreme advisory body of City University of Hong Kong (CityU), held its third meeting on 8 December, focusing on progress in priority areas identified last year by the Council.
The Council approved the new five-year strategic plan of CityU, entitled “Excellence in Research and Professional Education”, at its meeting on 26 November 2009.
The 17th Congregation marked a new chapter in the lives of this year's 6,864 graduates. Upon their shoulders rests the future, and CityU's President Professor H K Chang reminded them in his address, "You cannot plot out your life story and anything is possible," he said. "With hard work and determination you can succeed in anything you do and go anywhere you choose. The future is yours."
CityU Banquet, one of the biggest annual functions held by the Students; Union, took place at the University Circle on 8 November. The event was well received, with a record over-subscription for tickets.
