The event started with a JUPAS Admissions Talk for Secondary 6 students and a non-JUPAS Admissions Talk for holders of internationally recognised qualifications or sub-degrees, providing information about entrance requirements, application procedures, strategies for selecting programmes, and diversified learning opportunities and scholarships, including the President’s Scholarship (HK$300,000 per annum) and Hong Kong Tech Scholarships (HK$200,000 per annum).

Since a core subject in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSE), “Liberal Studies”, will be replaced by “Citizenship and Social Development” from the 2024/25 academic year onwards, CityU will update its JUPAS admissions requirements and criteria accordingly.

A variety of activities, including programme talks, consultation sessions, exhibitions, campus and facility tours, and student and alumni sharing, were organised by the nine Colleges and Schools of CityU: College of Business, College of Engineering, College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences, College of Science, Jockey Club College of Veterinary Medicine and Life Sciences, School of Creative Media, School of Data Science, School of Energy and Environment, and School of Law.

In the 2024/25 academic year, CityU will offer 55 programmes with a total of over 2,000 first-year places for both JUPAS and non-JUPAS applicants.

The newly launched double-degree programme “Bachelor of Engineering in Environmental Science and Engineering and Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance” addresses the growing demand for professionals in the environmental engineering, green finance, and environmental, social and governance (ESG) fields. It provides students with rigorous and comprehensive education in environmental engineering and finance, equipping them with the skills and knowledge needed to address sustainable finance challenges in Hong Kong and globally.

CityU introduced the first six-year Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine programme in Hong Kong in 2017. The programme received dual accreditation from the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons in the United Kingdom and the Australasian Veterinary Boards Council this September, making it the only programme in Asia accredited by both regulatory bodies for veterinary education. Graduates can register for practice in Hong Kong, the United Kingdom, Australia and New Zealand without the need to sit further examinations and subject to fulfilment of the registration requirements of the relevant professional bodies.

During Info Day, an exhibition titled “The Grand Gathering of the Century: Zodiac Heads from the Yuanmingyuan and Important Treasures”, held by the Indra and Harry Banga Gallery of CityU, showcasing 12 zodiac head sculptures from the film CZ12: Chinese Zodiac and a variety of immersive experiences, was open for participants to experience CityU’s innovative achievements in integrating art, science and digital technology.
