Classroom Y5-203 in Academic 1 at City University of Hong Kong (CityU) has been named “Mr & Mrs Or Sik Ling Classroom” in appreciation of the support and generous donations to the University made by Mr and Mrs Or Sik-ling.

A naming luncheon held on 14 November was attended by Mr and Mrs Or, Professor Matthew Lee Kwok-on, Vice-President (Development and External Relations), and Ms Kathy Chan Yin-ling, Associate Vice-President (Development and Alumni Relations).

Professor Lee expressed his deep appreciation of Mr Or and his family’s unfailing support for CityU in the past years at the luncheon. Mr Or is Honorary Director of the CityU Foundation. He supports the University not only through donations, but also by sharing his precious experiences with students through the “Life Mentor Scheme”.

Mr Or’s passion in education has impacted his family and friends. Mr Or’s children made a generous donation to the University to set up the Or Sik Ling Family Student Exchange Scholarships and Bursaries.

Under Mr Or’s invitation, Dr Peter Pang Chi-wang, District Governor 2015-16 of Rotary District 3450, and friends from Rotary Club of New Territories have rendered their generous support to the University.

The Classroom Y5-202 in Academic 1 at CityU was named after the Rotary Club of New Territories in recognition of their support.
