Exploring urban Hong Kong

Michelle Leung

Urban decision-making, interests, spaces and futures in the context of contemporary Hong Kong were featured in a series of interdisciplinary seminars at “Whose City?” hosted by the Department of Public and Social Administration at City University of Hong Kong (CityU) from 23–25 May.

At the event, speakers from sectors such as LegCo, a district council, green groups and academia discussed hot issues related to urbanisation. There were film shows, too.

Professor Arthur Ellis (1st from right), CityU Provost, kicked of the seminars with an opening talk on 24 May, followed by a thematic lecture titled “Whose city now?” by Professor Ray Forrest (2nd from right), Head of the Department of Public and Social Administration.
