Ricci's works in Chinese

ThinkTo further promote research on cultural interactions between the East and the West, the Centre for Cross-Cultural Studies, in cooperation with City University of Hong Kong Press, plans to publish a cross-cultural study series. With CCCS Director, Professor Zhang Longxi, as the chief editor, the series will consist of significant historical documents as well as original insightful writings on cultural interactions between China and the West.

The first book of the series, edited by Professor Zhu Weizhen of Fudan University in Shanghai, was published to coincide with the opening of the international conference. As suggested by its title, Matteo Ricci's Writings and Translations in Chinese, the book is a collection of 19 original and translation works written in Chinese by Ricci. Since most of the contents in the book were not previously readily accessible, it serves as a valuable first-hand reference for the study of Matteo Ricci.
