On 15 April 2026, a delegation led by Professor GAO Liang, Vice-President of Beijing Jiaotong University, visited CityUHK. They were warmly welcomed by Professor LU Chun, Vice-President (Mainland Strategy) and Executive President of CityUHK (DG); Professor GOH Chin Foo, Associate Vice-President (Mainland Industry); and Professor GUO Yongxin, Director of the Qingdao Research Institute; and other university representatives. Both sides engaged in in-depth discussions on student exchanges and faculty mobility. Furthermore, they explored broader collaboration opportunities and signed an agreement establishing the 3+1+X Programme.

On 14 April 2026, a delegation led by Ms. YIN Xiaomin, Deputy Director of the Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan Affairs Office of Shandong Province, visited CityUHK. They were warmly welcomed by Professor LU Chun, Vice-President (Mainland Strategy) and Executive President of CityUHK (DG); Professor GOH Chin Foo, Associate Vice-President (Mainland Industry); and Professor GUO Yongxin, Director of the Qingdao Research Institute; and other university representatives. Both sides held in-depth discussions on strengthening the development of the Shandong-Hong Kong-Macao Innovation Alliance and further promoting strategic cooperation between CityUHK and Shandong Province in areas such as talent cultivation, science-education integration, and industry-academia collaboration.

Both sides engaged in in-depth discussions on accelerating the establishment of the CityUHK Hangzhou Innovation Research Institute and facilitating the transfer and commercialisation of CityUHK's scientific and technological achievements and major innovation projects in Linping. The visit concluded with a guided tour of the State Key Laboratory of Terahertz and Millimeter Waves .

On 20 March 2026, a delegation led by Mr. ZENG Jianpeng, Executive Vice-Mayor of the Dongguan Municipal Government, visited CityUHK. They were warmly welcomed by Professor Freddy BOEY, President, University Distinguished Professor, and Chairman of CityUHK(DG); Professor Michael YANG, Senior Vice-President (Innovation and Enterprise); Professor LU Chun, Vice-President (Mainland Strategy) and Executive President of CityUHK(DG), and Professor Julie LI, Deputy Vice-President (Mainland Strategy) and Vice-President (Academic) of CityUHK(DG). Mayor ZENG highly commended the remarkable progress made by CityUHK(DG) since its inception. Both parties then engaged in in-depth discussions regarding their latest collaboration in innovation and technology. The visit concluded with a guided tour of the State Key Laboratory of Terahertz and Millimeter Waves.

On 19 March 2026, Mr YU Jiadong, Vice-Minister of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, led a delegation to visit CityUHK. They were warmly welcomed by Professor LEE Chun Sing, Provost and Deputy President; Professor Julie LI, Deputy Vice-President (Mainland Strategy and and Vice-President (Academic) of CityUHK (DG); Professor LU Jian, Dean of the College of Engineering; and other university representatives. Also, in attendance were Professor WONG Yuk-shan, Chairman of the Academic Committee of the Hong Kong Scholars Programme, and Mr ZUO Zhong, President of the Hong Kong Scholars Association. Both sides engaged in in-depth discussions regarding the Hong Kong Scholars Programme. The visit concluded with tour of the 3D Atom Probe Joint Research Laboratory hosted by Professor LU Jian, and the Materials Science and Engineering Laboratory, led by Professor ZHANG Qichun.

On 18 March 2026, Mr. PAN Xiaogang, Director-General of the Shanghai Talent Bureau, led a delegation to visit CityUHK. They were warmly welcomed by Professor Michael YANG, Senior Vice-President (Innovation and Enterprise); Professor Julie LI, Deputy Vice-President (Mainland Strategy) and Vice-President (Academic) of CityUHK (DG); Professor Johnny HO, Associate Vice-President (Enterprise); Professor Wei-Ying MA, Director of the Hong Kong Institute of AI for Science; Professor WANG Jianping, Dean of the College of Computing; and other university representatives. Both sides engaged in in-depth discussions regarding research cooperation and youth talent exchange, while exploring the possibility of hosting the grand final of the third HK Tech 300 National Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition in Shanghai. The visit concluded with a tour of the State Key Laboratory of Terahertz and Millimeter Waves.

On 18 March 2026, a delegation led by Mr. CHENG Lianzheng, Deputy Director-General of the Anhui Provincial Department of Human Resources and Social Security visited CityUHK. They were warmly welcomed by Professor Julie LI, Deputy Vice-President (Mainland Strategy) and Vice-President (Academic) of CityUHK (DG); Professor Chee Yoon YUE, Dean of Graduate Studies; Professor WANG Jianping, Dean of the College of Computing; and other university representatives. Both sides engaged in in-depth discussions on strengthening postdoctoral training, promoting postdoctoral research innovation and facilitating academic exchange. They also explored the establishment of a new and collaborative model for postdoctoral talent development between Anhui and Hong Kong. Following the meeting, the delegation toured the "Innovation Refinery" exhibition.

Professor ZHANG Xi, President of Jilin University and Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, led a delegation to visit CityUHK on 25 February 2026. The delegation was warmly received by Professor LEE Chun Sing, Provost and Deputy President, and Professor Julie LI, Deputy Vice-President (Mainland Strategy) and Vice-President (Academic) of CityUHK (DG). Both sides exchanged views on deepening strategic cooperation by leveraging their respective strengths in fields such as chemistry, mathematics, law, computer science, and materials science. Additionally, they discussed the upcoming signing of an academic exchange framework agreement to formalize the partnership between the two universities.

On 22 January 2026, Professor Julie LI, Deputy Vice-President (Mainland Strategy) and Vice-President (Academic) of CityUHK (DG), led a delegation to Peking University. Professor FANG Fang, Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Peking University Committee and Vice-President of Peking University, welcomed the delegation. Prof FANG noted that both universities have long maintained a robust and friendly partnership, successfully integrating educational resources and driving collaboration under the framework of the Beijing-Hong Kong University Alliance. Looking ahead, he emphasized that both institutions should continue to leverage their respective strengths to deepen cooperation in talent cultivation and technological innovation, thereby contributing to national development strategies. Professor Julie Li expressed her gratitude for Peking University's hospitality and provided an overview of CityUHK’s latest educational initiatives. She reaffirmed that CityUHK highly values its strategic partnership with Peking University. The two sides then engaged in in-depth discussions on expanding their collaborative scope, exploring joint programs in disciplines such as information management and financial economics, facilitating faculty and student mobility, and capitalizing on shared development opportunities.
