A delegation from the Shenzhen Municipal Education Bureau and the Bureau of Public Works of Shenzhen Municipality, along with representatives from three mainland universities, visited CityUHK on 19 December. The aim of the visit was to gain in-depth insights into CityUHK's campus planning, management and operations, providing a valuable reference and experience for future campus development in Shenzhen.

A delegation from Goertek Inc. visited CityUHK on 19 December. The two sides discussed establishing a strategic partnership, with plans to carry out comprehensive industry-academia collaboration in different locations, such as Hong Kong, Shenzhen, Dongguan and Qingdao, covering talent development, student employment, internships, research cooperation, and the establishment of scholarships.

Mr YANG Jinfang, Donor of the Fang Tang Institute at Tsinghua University, led a delegation to visit CityUHK on 13 December 2024. They were warmly welcomed by Professor LI Juan, Associate Vice-President (Mainland Strategy), Professor CHENG Shuk Han, Associate Vice President (Research), Ms SUN Cecilia, Associate Director of the Research Grants and Contracts Office, and Professor FUNG Sai Fu, Assistant Professor in the Department of Social and Behavioural Sciences. The two sides held discussions and exchanged insights on the management and operation experience of the Institute for Advanced Study of CityUHK and technological ethics.

Mr QIN Yongxin, Vice Mayor of the Wuxi Municipal People's Government, led a delegation to visit CityUHK on 13 December 2024. They were warmly welcomed by Professor CHEN Fu-Rong, Associate Vice-President (Mainland Collaboration), Professor HO Johnny, Associate Vice-President (Enterprise), and Professor GUO Yongxin, Director of the CityUHK Qingdao Research Institute. The two sides conducted in-depth exchanges on deepening the transfer of technological achievements and cooperation with local industry and the possibility of establishing a Knowledge Transfer Research Institute.

CityUHK (DG) held its grand opening ceremony in September 2024, marking a new milestone in educational cooperation between Dongguan and Hong Kong. In December 2024, a delegation from the Ministry of Education visited CityUHK to conduct in-depth exchanges on collaboration between CityUHK and CityUHK (DG) to promote high-quality development in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA).

Mr YU Changxue, Director of the China Center for International People-to-People Exchange, led a delegation to visit CityUHK on 11 December 2024. They were warmly welcomed by Professor LI Juan, Associate Vice-President (Mainland Strategy), Professor LIN Fen, Associate Vice-President (Global Strategy), Professor TOH Kian-lam, Director of the Student Development Services, Ms CHOUK Candy, Director of the Cultural Exchange Oasis, and Mr TANG Carl, Associate Director of the Global Engagement Office. The two sides conducted in-depth exchanges on methods for carrying out cultural exchange activities between the University and the Center and explored cooperation opportunities for high-level innovative talent in overseas training programmes.

The Beijing-Hong Kong Universities Alliance Council Meeting 2024 was held at Tsinghua University on 10 December 2024. Professor LU Chun, Vice-President (Mainland Strategy) of CityUHK, led a delegation to attend the Forum and shared his unique insights on how to deepen educational cooperation and build a shared, win-win international educational innovation ecosystem between Beijing and Hong Kong universities. Also attending the forum were leaders of the Ministry of Education, the Beijing Municipal Education Commission, the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the HKSAR, and over 70 representatives of 22 universities, who engaged in an enriching dialogue about promoting higher education in Beijing and Hong Kong.

A delegation from Central China Normal University visited CityUHK on 9 December. They met with senior management of CityUHK and engaged in discussions and exchanges on topics on digital teaching and the application of big data.

The 2nd Governing Board meeting of the CityUHK Qingdao Research Institute was held on 6 December 2024 at CityUHK. Following the meeting, the board members visited the CityUHK(DG) and Huawei Terminal Headquarters to gain valuable insights and experience for the sound development of the CityUHK Qingdao Research Institute.
