Professor JIA Zhenyuan, President of Dalian University of Technology, led a delegation to CityUHK on 23 April 2025. They were warmly welcomed by Professor LI Wen Jung, Vice-President (Talent and International Strategy), Professor LIN Fen, Associate Vice-President (Global Strategy), Professor Zhao Yang DONG, Head of the Department of Electrical Engineering, and Professor GUO Yongxin, Director of the Qingdao Research Institute. The two parties discussed academic affairs, technology research and talent cultivation, and explored opportunities for collaboration. Two cooperation agreements were signed during the meeting.

Ms. WANG Haixia, Deputy Mayor of the Hefei Municipal People's Government, led a delegation to CityUHK on 15 April 2025. They were warmly welcomed by Professor CHEN Fu-rong, Associate Vice-President (Mainland Collaboration), Director of the Mainland Research Institutes, and Professor Angus Yip Hin-lap, Associate Director of the Hong Kong Institute for Clean Energy. The two parties explored opportunities for further cooperation in technology innovation, knowledge transfer and industry-academia-research collaboration. Additionally, the delegation visited the State Key Laboratory of Terahertz and Millimeter Waves to learn about CityUHK's research capabilities in communications technology.

Building on the success of last year's “Executive Training Program for Shanghai–Hong Kong Universities Alliance Administrators” on student governance, CityUHK hosted another part of the programme on 10 April 2025. Thirty executive administrators from eight universities in Shanghai, including Fudan University, Tongji University and Shanghai Jiao Tong University, participated in the training. The programme, themed "Sustainable Campus Development & Global Branding", covered a range of topics, including communications and public relations, sustainability and internationalisation. Professor Shirley CHONG, Director of Communications and Institutional Research, and Ms. Helen MOK, Associate Director (Media) of the Communications and Institutional Research Office, showcased CityUHK’s outstanding achievements in media operations and branding, This initiative further strengthened the cross-border partnerships between universities in Shanghai and Hong Kong.

Professor XING Feng, President of Jinan University and Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, led a delegation to CityUHK on 8 April 2025. They were warmly welcomed by Professor LU Chun, Vice-President of CityUHK and Executive President of CityUHK (Dongguan), and Professor Julie LI, Vice President (Academic) of CityUHK (DG) and Associate Vice-President (Mainland Strategy) of CityUHK. The two parties engaged in discussions aimed at enhancing academic exchanges and research collaboration between the two universities and promoting joint development, and signed a cooperation agreement.

A delegation led by Mr WU Weibin, Director-General of the Zhejiang Province Human Resources and Social Security Department and Director-General of the Zhejiang Provincial Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs, visited CityUHK on 28 March 2025. They were warmly welcomed by Professor Freddy BOEY, CityUHK President and University Distinguished Professor, Professor Michael YANG Mengsu, Senior Vice-President (Innovation and Enterprise), Professor CHEN Furong, Associate Vice-President (Mainland Collaboration), and Professor Johnny HO Chung-yin, Associate Vice-President (Enterprise), among others. Both parties engaged in fruitful discussions to explore the feasibility of further deepening talent exchange and research collaboration between Zhejiang and Hong Kong.

To deepen scientific and technological innovation cooperation between Shenzhen and Hong Kong and accelerate the development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area into an international sci-tech innovation hub, the Shenzhen New Quality Productive Tech. Force Promotion Center and the CityUHK Shenzhen Research Institute officially signed a strategic cooperation agreement on 18 March 2025. The two parties will jointly advance the incubation of innovation projects, facilitate the application of scientific and technological achievements, and promote the sharing of large-scale scientific equipment and facilities, injecting robust momentum into the high-quality development of the Greater Bay Area. This collaboration marks a significant elevation in the coordinated sharing of scientific research resources between Shenzhen and Hong Kong.

A delegation from Dongguan led by Mr LYU Chengxi, Mayor of the Dongguan Municipal Government visited CityUHK on 20 March 2025 to meet with senior management of CityUHK. The two parties engaged in in-depth discussions on various topics, including the integration of technological and industrial innovation and the transformation of technology, and explored opportunities for further cooperation.

A delegation led by Mr CHEN Anming, Secretary of the CPC Jiangmen Municipal Committee visited CityUHK on 19 March 2025. The delegation was warmly welcomed and exchanged views with Professor Freddy BOEY, CityUHK President and University Distinguished Professor, Professor Leo CHAN Lai, Associate Director of the State Key Laboratory of Marine Pollution (SKLMP), Professor GOH Chin Foo, Director of the Knowledge Transfer Office, and Ms SNG Jing Li, Director of the Office of the President. The delegation also toured the SKLMP, gaining insights into CityUHK’s achievements and capabilities in the academic and research fields.
