Professor JIANG Lan, President of the Beijing Institute of Technology and Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, led a delegation to CityUHK on 21 January 2026. The visitors were warmly welcomed by Professor LU Chun, Vice-President (Mainland Strategy) and Executive President of CityUHK (DG); Professor Julie LI, Deputy Vice-President (Mainland Strategy) and Vice-President (Academic) of CityUHK (DG); and Professor Ray CHEUNG, Associate Provost (Digital Learning) and Director of the Future Learning Institute. Both parties engaged in in-depth discussions on expanding the scope of joint student training programs, increasing exchanges among young scholars, and co-developing high-level research platforms.

On 10 December 2025, Mr. YU Bingbo, Deputy Director of the Qingdao Science and Technology Bureau, led a delegation to CityUHK. The visitors were received by Professor GOH Chin Foo, Associate Vice-President (Mainland Industry), alongside other university representatives. Professor GOH provided a comprehensive overview of CityUHK's recent advancements in scientific research, alongside its notable milestones in fostering entrepreneurship and innovation. Mr. YU shared insights into the latest development within Qingdao's life and health industry, highlighting key sectors, research priorities, supportive policies, and practical implementation frameworks. Both parties explored strategic pathways to deepen scientific and technological cooperation between Qingdao and Hong Kong, leveraging CityUHK's core strengths in research, talent, and institutional platforms, with particular emphasis on potential industry-academia collaborations in fields such as biomedical technology.

Professor WANG Jian, Dean of the School of Economics and Management at the Harbin Institute of Technology, led a delegation to CityUHK on 28 November 2025. The delegation was received by Professor Alfred HO, Dean of the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences (CLASS), along with other faculty members. The 2025 Annual Meeting of the Shanghai-Hong Kong University Alliance was held at Shanghai Jiao Tong University on 19 November 2025. Centered on the theme "Synergy and Development – Cooperation and Exchange between Shanghai and Hong Kong Universities in the New Era," the meeting aimed to enhance bilateral collaboration in talent development and scientific research. Delegates focused on driving collaborative innovation and leveragingthe complementary strengths of higher education institutions in both cities. In alignment with major national strategic needs, discussions centered on integrating resource advantages, exploring new pathways for industry-university-research cooperation, and accelerating the translation of innovative achievements into practical outcomes. Professor Julie LI, Deputy Vice-President (Mainland Strategy) of CityUHK, attended the annual meeting and moderated a panel discussion.

The 2025 Council Meeting and Presidents' Forum of the Jiangsu-Hong Kong-Macao University Cooperation Alliance was held at the University of Macau on 31 October 2025. Under the theme "Forging Synergy through Alliance, Promoting Mutual Benefits through Openness and Sharing", the event brought together universities from Jiangsu, Hong Kong and Macao. The in-depth discussions focused on topics such as inter-university cooperation, resource sharing and open exchanges, charting a new blueprint for the coordinated development of regional higher education. Professor Julie LI, Deputy Vice-President (Mainland Strategy), attended the meeting and delivered a speech at the Presidents' Forum.

CityUHK and Fujian Fuyao University of Science and Technology (Fuyao UST) recently established a new academic partnership to jointly promote education, scientific research and industry collaboration. On 24 October 2025, a delegation from Fuyao UST visited CityU and was warmly received by Professor Freddy BOEY, CityUHK President and University Distinguished Professor, and Professor LEE Chun Sing, Provost and Deputy President, along with senior management. The two institutions formally signed a memorandum of cooperation, marking an important step forward in their collaboration across multiple fields.

On 21 October 2025, a delegation led by Mr. LI Shigong, Party Leadership Group Member and Deputy Director-General of the Shandong Provincial Department of Human Resources and Social Security, visited CityUHK. They were warmly welcomed by Professor Dannii YEUNG, Associate Provost (Student Life), and Professor TOH Kian Lam, Director of the Student Development Services. The two sides held talks on the development of the human resources services industry, talent exchange and cooperation, the promotion of high-quality, full employment, and establishing a communication and cooperation channel for the human resources services industry.

They were warmly welcomed by Professor Michael YANG Mengsu, Senior Vice-President (Innovation and Enterprise); Professor Julie LI, Deputy Vice-President (Mainland Strategy) and Acting Executive President of CityUHK (Dongguan); Professor Jianping WANG, Dean of the College of Computing; and Professor WANG Xin, Dean of the College of Science. The two sides actively explored collaboration opportunities in areas such as academic development, faculty and student exchanges, and educational synergy in the Greater Bay Area.
