CityUHK Mainland Undergraduate Admissions
Starting from the 2026/27 academic year, CityUHK will independently recruit Mainland Gaokao students. The University will no longer participate in the Mainland’s regular university admission process and procedures. CityUHK will admit students based on merit, with no upper or lower quotas for each province or city. Mainland Gaokao students intending to apply to CityUHK must submit their applications directly through the official CityUHK website before the application deadline. Applications are tentatively scheduled to open in mid-November. Applicants are encouraged to stay updated with information announced here.

CityUHK offers both research- and coursework-based postgraduate programmes. The research-based degree programmes include the Master of Philosophy (MPhil) and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD), which involve independent research under the guidance of a supervisor and the submission of a thesis. The coursework-based programmes provide a wide and diverse range of academic disciplines to cater for students' personal interests, professional aspirations and career development. Students receive innovative and in-depth education through taught courses, and some programmes may also require the completion of a project or dissertation to earn the degree.

CityUHK(DG) Student Admissions
The Ministry of Education officially approved the establishment of CityUHK(DG) on 16 April 2024. CityUHK(DG) initially launched four undergraduate programs: Computer Science and Technology, Intelligent Manufacturing Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering, and Energy and Power Engineering. It also opened several graduate programmes covering a diverse and broad range of disciplines to cater for students' personal interests, professional aspirations and career development. The courses are scheduled to begin in September 2024.
