Cancer continues to be a leading cause of mortality worldwide, highlighting the urgent need to develop more advanced, efficient, and early detection methods. Addressing this critical need, City University of Hong Kong (CityUHK) is leading a groundbreaking research project aimed at developing an innovative technology platform for early detection of cancer and personalised treatment.

Recognised as one of the most influential blockchain and Web 3.0 summits globally, "Consensus" made its first-ever move outside the U.S. at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. One of the side events, "DeSci Hong Kong 2025", was held on 18 Feb in the HK Tech 300 co-working space

Over the past three months, CityUHK has strengthened its partnerships with the Chinese Manufacturers’ Association of Hong Kong (CMA), Hang Seng Bank, and MTR Corporation (MTRC). This collaboration has leveraged the HK Tech 300 ecosystem to drive innovation across diverse sectors, nurture young entrepreneurs, and support the growth of deep-tech start-ups.

In 2024, HK Tech 300 continued to play a pivotal role in strengthening Hong Kong’s innovation and technology (I&T) ecosystem. As a super-connector for stakeholders across the industry, the programme provides young entrepreneurs with funding, mentorship and networking opportunities, and is aligned with the strategic goals of the Greater Bay Area (GBA) and the national agenda.

Five research projects led by City University of Hong Kong (CityUHK) have been awarded a total of HK$26.4 million from the Research Grants Council (RGC) under the Research Impact Fund.
