Leading scholars in healthcare, sustainability, renewable energy, and biomedical research from City University of Hong Kong (CityUHK) secured an inspiring 12 medals, including three Special Prizes, seven Gold Medals and two Silver Medals from among nine projects showcased at the Silicon Valley International Invention Festival (SVIIF) 2025.

City University of Hong Kong (CityUHK) researchers excelled at the 50th International Exhibition of Inventions of Geneva (IEIG), securing 33 awards. Their achievements include one Special Prize, five Gold Medals with Congratulations of the Jury, nine Gold Medals, 16 Silver Medals, and two Bronze Medals. This remarkable success highlights CityUHK’s global leadership in high-calibre research and innovation. Professor Michael Yang Mengsu, Senior Vice-President (Innovation & Enterprise) and Yeung Kin Man Chair Professor of Biomedical Sciences, proudly extended his congratulations to all the award recipients for their achievements. He remarked that their accomplishments reflect CityUHK’s commitment to fostering innovation and excellence on a global scale, as well as their dedication to making positive impacts on both Hong Kong society and the world.
