CityU’s great success at Inventions Geneva Evaluation Days 2022; including six HK Tech 300 start-ups
Researchers at City University of Hong Kong (CityU) received tremendous accolades at Inventions Geneva Evaluation Days (IGED) 2022 by winning a total of 22 awards, the highest number among local institutions for two years in a row, including one Gold Medal with Congratulations of the Jury, six Gold Medals, 13 Silver Medals and two Bronze Medals.
To celebrate “University Day 2022” of City University of Hong Kong (CityU), the Office of the Vice-President (Research and Technology) presented two engaging and exciting online events related to research, innovation and entrepreneurship, under the theme “Research and Technology – Beyond Boundaries” on 17 March.
City University of Hong Kong (CityU) held the third round of the Seed Fund Presentation Ceremony today (16 December) for its large-scale flagship innovation and entrepreneurship programme titled HK Tech 300. A record-breaking 80 start-up teams were presented with HK$100,000 each in seed funding. In addition, appreciation certificates were presented to the new cohort of 34 mentors for their support for the young start-up teams commencing their entrepreneurship journeys.
Three world-class research centres have been established by City University of Hong Kong (CityU) in collaboration with renowned scholars from all around the world and research institutes under InnoHK, a vital initiative of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government to develop Hong Kong as a hub for global research collaboration.
City University of Hong Kong (CityU) and Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation (HKSTP) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) today (11 November) for launching collaborative programmes in Hong Kong and the Greater Bay Area (GBA) and further promoting innovation and entrepreneurship in the region.
