CityUHK unites industry, business and academic leaders to explore research collaboration and drive technology transfer
Organised by the CityUHK Industrial and Business Leaders Circle (Leaders Circle), an industry-business-academia exchange luncheon was successfully held on 24 July. The event brought together over 130 guests and was honored to welcome the Executive Committee members of the Hong Kong Federation of Innovative Technologies and Manufacturing Industries (FITMI), who gathered with Leaders Circle’s members, industry leaders, and CityUHK faculty, to exchange ideas and explore collaboration opportunities.
Donation from Global School of Technology and Management to promote frontier research and nurture future talent
City University of Hong Kong (CityUHK) has always been committed to developing cutting-edge technology, promoting interdisciplinary research and nurturing future talent with a global perspective. CityUHK recently received a donation pledge of HK$20 million from Global School of Technology & Management (GSTM), a leading academic institution in Singapore, to support academic teaching, research and the cultivation of innovative technology talent at CityUHK’s College of Computing, injecting new momentum into regional technological development.
Outstanding faculty receive Thetos Young Scholar Awards
With the generous support from Thetos Foundation Hong Kong, the “Thetos Young Scholar Award Scheme” has been established at CityUHK since 2023 to encourage early-stage scholars to strive for academic and research excellence.

With the well-being of the community and the nation at heart, Mr Zhang Bo, Chairman and CEO of China Hongqiao Group Limited (Hongqiao), Honorary Fellow of City University of Hong Kong (CityUHK) and Honorary Patron of the CityUHK Foundation, has once again extended meaningful support to the University through a new donation dedicated to fostering community healing and resilience in response to the Wang Fuk Court fire, while also supporting research initiatives and talent development in the business discipline.
