Over 550 distinguished guests gathered for the City University of Hong Kong (CityUHK) Foundation Dinner on 31 March, a spectacular evening that raised a record HK$49 million in support of the University’s innovative and global initiatives.
CityUHK hosts University-Industry Engagement Luncheon to promote academia-industry collaboration
Organised by the Office of the Vice-President (Research), the Development Office, the CityUHK Industrial and Business Leaders Circle (Leaders Circle), and the University's Taskforce of Industry Collaboration, the University-Industry Engagement Luncheon was successfully held on 24 March. More than 80 guests attended, including CityUHK management, faculty members, Leaders Circle members, and industry leaders. The luncheon featured a series of presentations and sharing sessions that enabled guests to gain insights into CityUHK’s latest research achievements while identifying opportunities for collaboration aimed at translating research into practical applications and advancing both the University and society through partnerships and funding support.
College of Business and City Sino Group sign MoU to fund Mainland student scholarships
The College of Business at CityUHK and City Sino Group (China) Limited have officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish a scholarship scheme supporting mainland students enrolled in designated master’s programmes at the College. The signing ceremony took place on campus, marking a significant milestone in fostering academic collaboration and talent development.
Benefiting humanity through technology: Hongqiao and CityUHK unite for community care with Hongqiao Cerebro-Cardiovascular (C2) Health Guardian Programme
City University of Hong Kong (CityUHK) has been consistently committed to interdisciplinary research, actively addressing societal needs and advancing public health. With the generous sponsorship of China Hongqiao Group Limited (Hongqiao), Honorary Patron of CityUHK Foundation, the University has partnered with three institutions to launch the Hongqiao Cerebro-Cardiovascular (C2) Health Guardian Programme, aimed at enhancing community health. The initiative brings together the strengths of government, industry, academia, District Health Centres and community networks. It will provide free, comprehensive health screenings for 5,000 residents of Light Public Housing and Transitional Housing across four districts – Kwun Tong, Sham Shui Po, Sha Tin and Tsuen Wan – enabling early detection of cardiovascular and brain health risks.
