The 8th show of the CityU Arts Festival 2023/24, CityU Choir: Chorale of World Classics, was successfully held on 17 November 2023!
The concert brought together three university choirs, HKU CA Choir, HKUSTSU UChoir and HSUHK A Cappella Group, to perform with the CityU Choir. It was a bustling concert gathering all four universities at CityU, attracting more than 520 audience!
Over 150 young performers took turns performing a series of pieces in different languages, including "Circle of Life","Wish", "Look at the World", "Three Mexican Folk Songs", etc, echoing the concert theme. Whether it was A Cappella or with piano accompaniment, they were all beautifully presented and showcased the talents and diligence of the performers.
To conclude the concert, all four groups once again stepped onto the stage to sing the chorus "Let There Be Peace on Earth", bringing the theme of the concert: friendship and peace to the world and marking a perfect ending.
The final concert of this year's Arts Festival: CityU Chinese Orchestra and Members of Chinese Music Department of Xinghai Conservatory of Music: Starry Music of Silk Road will be held on 24 November 2023. Looking forward to it!
