Our Mission

The mission of the Talent and Education Development Office (TED) is to strengthen the teaching and learning environment of the University and facilitate development of the Gateway Education program. To fulfil this mission, TED uses a range of pedagogical and technological tools to deliver services that aim to enhance student learning and/or facilitate the professional development of staff. Specifically, TED’s core activities and services aim to achieve the following objectives :

  • To assist academic staff to develop more effective teaching strategies and techniques by adopting outcomes-based approaches to facilitate student learning;
  • To develop, establish and review courses in Gateway Education; and
  • To promote effective and creative use of the e-learning technologies for teaching, learning and assessment.
