Call for Proposals - Teaching Development Grant (TDG) / Teaching Start-Up Grant (TSG) 2023/24
Dear Colleagues,
The University Grants Committee (UGC) has provided a Teaching Development Grant (TDG) to CityU with the aim of promoting innovative teaching and enhancing the learning environment. Additionally, a Teaching Start-Up Grant (TSG) has been made available for new faculties to implement their teaching ideas. The TDG and TSG are now calling for proposals for the Semester B 2023/24 exercise.
The funding ceiling for TDG is HK$240,000. Projects that involve overseas collaboration may request up to HK$270,000. Furthermore, projects that fall within either of the following two focus areas may apply for an additional HK$50,000:
- Virtual Teaching and Learning;
- Harnessing Innovative and Breakthrough Technologies for Teaching Development.
The funding ceiling for TSG is HK$120,000. Only colleagues who have joined the University in Semester B 2021/22 (1 January 2022) and thereafter, and have not been awarded a TSG or a TDG are eligible to apply.
All TDG and TSG proposals will be subjected to a rigorous evaluation involving both internal and external reviewers. The funding decision for the two grants will be made independently.
Please visit the TED website for application details. To apply, please use the appropriate application form and submit to <ted@cityu.edu.hk> on or before 1 March 2024. Results will be announced by the end of April 2024.
