CityU film screening explores deaf culture

 

Five films exploring deaf culture will feature at a special screening of the 2nd Hong Kong International Deaf Film Festival. The event is being organised by the Run Run Shaw Creative Media Centre (CMC), the Hong Kong Association of the Deaf, and the Asian People’s Theatre Festival Society.

The screening will be held on Saturday, 11 February, 2012, at 4pm, Lecture Theatre 1 (M3017), 3rd floor of the CMC, at City University of Hong Kong. It is open to the public for free.

The films Sign Language Times, If I were Deaf, Gallaudet, Shackle and Beautiful Song Signing come from China, US, Finland and Hong Kong. All have Chinese and English subtitles and a discussion will follow the screening.
