Thirteen students from the Department of Manufacturing Engineering and Engineering Management (MEEM) have joined a voluntary project to help elderly homeowners install safety chains that can prevent windows from falling.
CityU is introducing a pioneering double degree programme in construction and law, which creates a unique synergy for both professions and a win-win situation for students and employers. The programme will accept the first intake of 20 students in 2006.
Materials ranging from metal and cloth to wood and ropes and plastic were used to illustrate the artists' views of life in an exhibition showcasing the artwork of 27 first and second year students from CityU's School of Creative Media.
