An inter-institutional collaborative team involving a scholar from CityU promoting a student-centred project, “English Across the Curriculum”, has been awarded the 2022 UGC Teaching Award.
The title of Honorary Fellow was conferred on four distinguished persons by CityU in recognition of their distinctive contributions to the development of, and service to, the University and the community.
Cattle imported from Australia for University Farm operated by CityU in Lam Tsuen, Tai Po, arrived safely on 20 September. Mr Lester Garson Huang, Chairman of the CityU Council, and Professor Way Kuo, CityU President, were on hand to witness the cattle reach University Farm.

CityU actively encourages students to immerse themselves in athletic and musical activities as well as pursue academic knowledge. The academic and athletic potential of seven student-athletes admitted at the start of the 2022/23 academic year will be supported.
CityU shines once again in the top 100 universities granted US utility patents by the National Academy of Inventors. CityU is placed 29th in the world, the highest-ever position and 22 places better than last year. Furthermore, CityU is ranked 1st among local institutions for the 6th consecutive year.
Adopting a student-centred approach to acquiring knowledge is the teaching philosophy mutually shared by the Teaching Excellence Award winners at CityU this year.
The Commencement Ceremony for the graduating class of 2021 is currently underway from 22 to 31 May at CityU.
The Student Career Centre at CityU has been named “Judith and Gary Cheng Student Career Centre” in appreciation of the support and generous donations made by Dr and Mrs Gary Cheng Faat-ting to the University at a ceremony held on 14 May.
