CityU students shined at the HSBC Young Entrepreneur Awards regional competition and the Lee Kuan Yew Global Business Plan Competition with a business plan using transgenic fish technology that was pioneered at CityU.
Following approval from the Ministry of Science and Technology, the State Key Laboratory in Marine Pollution led by CityU was established to help address the pressing need to protect China’s marine environment and biological resources.
About 150 marine environmental scientists, academics and students from Hong Kong and the mainland attended a symposium on climate change and marine pollution at CityU from 9-10 January.
