CityU has been awarded a grant of more than HK$8 million from the Research Grants Council to lead a research project that assesses the reliability of electronic systems in order to prevent breakdowns that can lead to inefficiency or, in worst-case scenarios, fatal disasters.
CityU achieves excellent results in the latest RGC funding exercise, ranked fourth among the eight higher education institutions in total grants awarded. The amount has surged 22% from last year's result.
A delegation comprising more than 60 members and panel members of the Research Grants Council visited CityU on 14 June.
