A review panel consisting of four overseas and local experts visited the College of Science and Engineering from 19 to 20 March to offer expert advice on the enhancement of its academic and research programmes.
Professor Jacques Livage of Collège de France, Paris, delivered a lecture in the France-Hong Kong Distinguished Lecture Series on “soft chemistry”, which allows the low temperature formation of glasses and ceramics.
Around 100 new research students, together with their senior-year mentors, joined the Orientation for Research Degree Students organized by the School of Graduate Studies on 12 September.
