Pioneering ‘synapses’ promise record-low energy use for future AI
The energy consumption of a new artificial visual system developed through joint research led by CityU can be reduced by over 90% per synaptic event when compared to synapses in the human brain.
The Faculty of Science and Engineering is holding a 3-day exhibition on campus from today to 27 May to showcase nearly 100 student projects from its eight departments.
Some 53 prizes were awarded to secondary school students for outstanding performance in technology learning activities during the “Technology Project Competition for the Youth 2005”, held at CityU on 14 May.
