The expert committee assisting CityU on its prospective biomedical engineering programmes, concluded its three-day visit to the University by making its recommendations for the consideration of senior management.
On the second day of a three-day visit, the biomedical expert committee met with members of the College of Science and Engineering to gain a greater understanding of the college's biomedical engineering strengths and research capabilities.
Three CityU scientists, all from the Department of Biology and Chemistry (BCH), will take an active role as key collaborative partners in the Area of Excellence (AoE) Scheme. The Scheme, now in its second round, was introduced in 1995 by the University Grants Committee with the aim of promoting excellence in research and other scholarly activities in selected areas among local universities.
