Justin Chan Yiu-ting, a final-year student of MEEM, clinched the top prize of the university category and the final championship at the Technology, Environmental Protection and Innovation Competition held in August.
Twenty-four gifted secondary students signed their certificates of commitment at the opening ceremony of the University-based Electronics Technology Project Study 2006 held at CityU on 14 August.
"I wish the industrial training could be longer than it is now," said Ada Chan Hiu Kei, a third-year student in the computer engineering stream of the Department of Electronic Engineering. "I also think that the scheme should be extended to students from other faculties as well."
