World rejoices at CityU’s International Week

The Mainland and External Affairs Office of City University of Hong Kong (CityU) is staging the International Week 2010 from 1 to 5 February. Highlights of the event on 4 February include the flag procession, global runway parade and an international New Year fair. Students from all over the world, including Australia, France, Norway, Poland, South Korea, Spain, Switzerland, the US and mainland, are adorned in their national dress, bearing the flags of their countries and introducing the New Year celebrations of their respective nationalities.

Professor Way Kuo, University President (4th from left, front row) said students are the dedicated subject of the first principle of the new CityU Strategic Plan 2010-2015, which outlines CityU’s focus on “student success in academic achievement and career development”. “At CityU, our primary goal is to equip you with superior knowledge, civic spirit and the character and resolve to succeed,” said Professor Kuo.

Professor Roderick Wong Sue-cheun, Vice-President (Development and External Relations) (5th from left, front row) and Professor Paul Lam Kwan-sing, Vice-President (Student Affairs) (3rd from left, front row) attended the runway parade and enjoyed the festive occasion with students.
