Dr Susanne Pfeiffer joined City University of Hong Kong in November 2016 as a Visiting Fellow.
After gaining a Degree in Dental Medicine in1987 from the Philipps University in Marburg, Germany, she worked in private dental practice in Germany until taking a career break to raise a family. During that time she worked for six months as an unpaid research assistant in an epidemiological field study of bovine tuberculosis in wild possums in New Zealand.
In 2016, she graduated with a First Class Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and Statistics at the Open University, United Kingdom, and she is a Fellow of the Royal Statistical Society (Graduate Statistician) and Associate Member of the Institute of Mathematics and its Applications (AMIMA).
