NUEE Applicants

Entrance Requirement for NUEE Students

Academic Requirements:

Mainland Chinese National University Entrance Examination (NUEE) applicants are required to select the natural-science-oriented area (理科倾向) of the Gaokao examination, and their Gaokao results must reach the Band 11 cut-off line with an English score of 135 (out of 150) or above.

For non-academic requirements please refer to the Non-Academic Requirements page.

Shortlisting:

Applicants must provide the academic transcript(s) for their year three of high school and mock examination results via the application system. Applicants will be shortlisted based on their Academic Score, calculated using a formula comparable to JUPAS and non-JUPAS applications, focusing on English, Mathematics, Biology and Chemistry. Incomplete submission may delay the processing of your application.

Interview:

Shortlisted applicants will be invited for a Zoom admissions interview by email. The interview is intended to explore the applicant's motivation for studying veterinary medicine at CityU. The interview panel meets prior to interviews to standardise the assessment of applicant responses and to ensure that applicants are evaluated fairly and consistently.

For more details, please refer to Admissions Interview.

Offers:

Candidates are ranked based on their Interview Scores, and the cut-off for NUEE applications is determined based on various factors, including the number of shortlisted applicants, interviewees’ performance, offer acceptance status in the current year, etc. Offers are given to applicants above the cut-off.
