Prof. Reichel Visits 33rd World Veterinary Congress (WVC) and 16th Asian Association of Veterinary Schools (AAVS) Meeting
Prof. Michael Reichel (Chair Professor of Veterinary Medicine and Dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine and Life Sciences) attended the 16th Asian Association of Veterinary Schools (AAVS) meeting held in conjunction with the 33rd World Veterinary Congress in Incheon, South Korea, from 27 to 31 August 2017.
Visit by the Agri-Food & Veterinary Authority of Singapore (AVA) CEO and delegation
The purpose of this visit was to gain an insight into the work of the Centre for Applied One Health Research and Policy Advice and to find out more about the academic and professional programmes in the College of Veterinary Medicine and Life Sciences.
International Transboundary Animal Disease Workshop (ITAD) in Hong Kong
Over 30 veterinarians from 14 South-east Asian countries participated in the five-day course on International Transboundary Animal Disease(ITAD) jointly hosted by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) and CityU’s College of Veterinary Medicine and Life Sciences from 26 – 30 September 2016. This was the first time such a course has been held in this region.
CityU acquires prestigious veterinary clinic
City University of Hong Kong (CityU) is pleased to announce that the University has acquired full ownership of the Peace Avenue Veterinary Clinic (PAVC), a leading veterinary clinic in Hong Kong, starting from 1 September 2016. It will be used as a veterinary clinic by the School of Veterinary Medicine (SVM). The acquisition is a strategic investment for CityU as well as for veterinary medicine and animal welfare in Hong Kong.
