Cabinet visits CityU’s cutting-edge fish raft
On 21 September 2015, CityU’s President and Cabinet visited the City University Marine Fish Culture Facility (MFCF). Currently the facility has various grouper commercial production operations maintained by the State Key Lab for Marine Pollution (SKLMP) and the College of Veterinary Medicine and Life Sciences (JCC).

CityU scholarship nurtures local talent in veterinary medicinev
Dr May Tse Pui-ying, who previously worked as a Veterinary Officer (Residues Control) in the government’s Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department (AFCD), will use a three-year scholarship provided by the College of Veterinary Medicine and Life Sciences (CVMLS) to enrol in a residency programme in veterinary anatomic pathology at the College of Veterinary Medicine, Cornell University.
Collaboration with Longgang District will boost technology development
A memorandum of understanding (MOU) signed between City University of Hong Kong (CityU) and Longgang District Government of Shenzhen on 20 November will strengthen collaboration in higher education, innovative technology and financial projects, veterinary medicine, new technology development, international technology transfer and other areas.

City University of Hong Kong (CityU) is a dynamic, fast-growing university that is pursuing excellence in research and professional education. The College of Veterinary Medicine and Life Sciences (CVMLS) was launched in spring 2014 in collaboration with College of Veterinary Medicine (CVM), Cornell University, New York, United States of America. The CVMLS is the first in Hong Kong and is envisioned as a centre of excellence in animal health education, research and discovery, and clinical care in China and the Asia-Pacific region.
