CityUHK JUPAS Consultation Day 2026: offering the latest programme information and guidance on strategic programme reprioritisation
City University of Hong Kong (CityUHK) will host “CityUHK JUPAS Consultation Day” on Saturday 16 May from 1pm to 5pm. The event aims to help applicants prepare for the modification of JUPAS programme choices, better understand admission and programme reprioritisation strategies, and choose programmes that best match their interests, abilities and career goals.
The Consultation Day will feature a wide range of activities. Dr CM Lam, Director of the Admissions Office at CityUHK, will host a JUPAS admissions talk to explain the latest JUPAS admission arrangements and effective programme reprioritisation strategies. Colleges and academic departments will host 34 admission talks, 10 admissions consultation sessions, and 11 campus and facility tours. One on one admissions consultations will be available at the Admissions Chat Box located on the 4/F, Purple Zone, Yeung Kin Man Academic Building, providing professional advice for students and parents. Participants will have the opportunity to gain a comprehensive understanding of CityUHK’s academic programmes and development prospects, while experiencing campus life and the learning environment firsthand.
As a young, dynamic and innovative university, CityUHK is committed to excellence in education and research while fostering a highly international and diverse academic environment. CityUHK has been named “The Most International University in the World” by Times Higher Education (THE) for three consecutive years (2024, 2025 and 2026). It has also performed strongly in global rankings, including 63rd in the Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) World University Rankings 2026, 73rd in the THE World University Rankings 2026, and 7th in the QS Asia University Rankings 2026.
CityUHK will introduce a new undergraduate programme “Integrative Bioscience & Bioengineering” for the 2026/27 academic year, providing exemplary students with a comprehensive and globally-oriented education in biomedicine and biomedical engineering. Students can choose their own major and will have the opportunity to collaborate with eminent researchers from renowned international universities. This programme is among CityUHK’s flagship programmes, and outstanding local students admitted in flagship programmes will be eligible for generous scholarships, including full or half tuition fees, dormitory fees, and a one-off overseas exchange grant of up to HK$500,000.
In addition, starting from 2026/27 academic year, high school students from Hong Kong and around the world can apply directly for Year 1 entry to the Joint Bachelor’s Degree Programme (JBDP) run by CityUHK and Columbia University (Columbia) in the United States. It covers 12 four year, dual-degree programmes offered by CityUHK. The University also launches a JBDP with CentraleSupélec, Paris-Saclay University, which covers nine undergraduate programmes offered by CityUHK’s College of Engineering, though applications are currently accepted only via non JUPAS routes. JBDP graduates will receive degrees awarded by both institutions.
