A research team led by Dr Xu Chenjie, Associate Professor in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at City University of Hong Kong has developed a new generation of ice microneedle patches that melt after the pain-free delivery of drugs. The new technology paves the way for developing an easy-to-use cell therapy and other therapeutics against cancers and other diseases.
Dr Xu will introduce the research findings and demonstrate how the microneedle patches work. Photographers are friendly reminded to bring with suitable lens which can zoom in the microneedle patches for the best shooting result.
