Event: Playful Media Showcase 2017 Opening Ceremony and Media Tour
Date: 22 June 2017 (Thursday)
Time: 2:30pm
Venue: Multimedia Theatre (M1060), L1, Run Run Shaw Creative Centre, 18 Tat Hong Avenue, Kowloon Tong, Hong Kong
Forty inspiring creative projects developed by students from the School of Creative Media at City University of Hong Kong (CityU) are presented in the exhibition Playful Media Showcase 2017 held at Run Run Shaw Creative Media Centre.
Under the theme of “Chicken and Egg”, the exhibition comprises various forms of artworks, including 17 animation projects and more than 20 games, installations and photographs. While some projects integrate new technology with rich Hong Kong cultural characteristics such as “villain hitting” and the lion dance, some explore topics such as the relationship between humans and nature, social issues and family love.
The students will be on hand to explain the ideas behind their work and conduct live demonstrations.
A brief introduction to some of the creative projects is attached.
Media enquiries: Mirror Fung, Communications and Public Relations Office, CityU (Tel: 3442 6808 or 6183 0853)
