The 2016 CityU Discovery Festival at City University of Hong Kong (CityU) is showcasing the University’s strengths in discovery and innovation from 1 to 3 February. Awards will be presented during the opening ceremony on 1 February to three excellent teachers and to the winners of the “Smarter Life Aided by Robots” competition, the “My Own Discovery” contest, and the “Internationalisation Scheme”.
Mr Yang will deliver a speech at the opening ceremony.
In addition to the opening ceremony, the Learning&Discovery@CityU exhibition is displaying CityU students’ creative projects, such as a wireless LED-fitted t-shirt that creates tailor-made designs with a drawing app; an original card game that sold out at the 2015 Internationale Spieltage (SPIEL) in Germany and is now being commercialised; iWear Closet: a useful app that allows you to mix-and-match what’s in your wardrobe; and a robot made out of Lego that can keep the streets tidy.
