The competition, a premier event in the field of synthetic biology worldwide, attracted 2,500 participants from 245 universities across 32 countries this year.
Dr Richard Kong Yuen-chong, the principal advisor of the team and Associate Professor in the Department of Biology and Chemistry, and the participating students will present the mechanism of their creative solution at the press conference and share their thoughts and feelings about winning the competition.
