Lecture Theatre 16 in Academic 1 (AC1) at City University of Hong Kong (CityU) will be renamed Benjamin Kwok Lecture Theatre on 8 January after alumnus Mr Benjamin Kwok Chan-yiu in recognition of his generous support to his alma mater and his contributions to society.
Mr Kwok, Managing Director of Kwonnie Electrical Products Limited, obtained a Master degree of Business Administration (Executive) from CityU in 2007 and is recognised as one of Hong Kong’s most distinguished entrepreneurs. He has been appointed by the HKSAR Government to serve on the Small and Medium Enterprises Committee of the Trade and Industry Department and assigned many leadership roles in various industry associations and organisations.
Guests officiating at the ceremony will include Mr Kwok, Professor Way Kuo, CityU President, and Professor Roderick Wong Sue-cheun, Vice-President (Development and External Relations), CityU.
