CityU signs agreement with Guangzhou Pharmaceutical Holdings Limited Group

City University of Hong Kong (CityU) and Guangzhou Pharmaceutical Holdings Limited Group will sign a framework agreement and announce the formation of a strategic alliance tomorrow (20 December). The aim of the alliance is to pursue collaboration in areas including business, economic and financial policy research; new drugs and diagnostic and therapeutic technologies development; and the training of healthcare management professionals.

 

At the same event, CityU will talk about its new Department of Biomedical Sciences which opens next January. The aim is to nurture highly educated and skilled professionals and researchers in the field of biomedicine, and to utilise the results of basic research in healthcare and nursing business.

After the signing ceremony, Professor Yan Houmin, Dean of CityU’s College of Business, Professor Michael Yang Mengsu, Acting Head of CityU’s Department of Biomedical Sciences, and Dr Howard Wong Kai-hay, Executive Director of CityU’s Life Sciences Programmes will introduce the content of the agreement signed with Guangzhou Pharmaceutical Holdings Limited Group and the forthcoming Department of Biomedical Sciences.
