Teams from the world’s top law schools will compete in the 4th International Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) Mooting Competition from 28 July to 3 August at City University of Hong Kong (CityU).
 
Mr Rimsky Yuen Kwok-keung, S.C., Secretary for Justice, HKSAR, will officiate at the opening ceremony on 28 July and give a speech.
 
Nineteen teams from schools such as Columbia Law School, University of Vienna, National University of Singapore, Tsinghua University, China University of Political Science and Law and CityU will compete for the Best Mediator, Best Oralist and Best Memoranda awards during the competition.
 
The competition, which was created and developed in Hong Kong, is being co-organised by CityU’s School of Law, the China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission, and the School of Law at Columbia University. It is the first mooting competition in the world to combine mediation and arbitration.
