Mr Hau Pei-tsun, Former Premier of Executive Yuan, Taiwan, will deliver a City University Distinguished Lecture on 19 July.

Mr Hau will review the Sino-Japanese War from a historical perspective and divide the lecture titled “Peaceful Unification or Unification by Force? The Characteristics of Chinese-style Democracy” into 10 sub-topics, including the fundamental policy of the Nationalist government on the Japanese invasion, the key strategy for the war, the outcome of victory, Taiwan’s democratic reform and the development of cross-Strait relations.
