In recognition of the contributions to City University of Hong Kong (CityU) made by distinguished alumnus Dr Raymond Leung Siu-hong, Lecture Theatre 14 will be named the “Leung Ko Yuk Tak Lecture Theatre”, after Dr Leung’s wife. Dr and Mrs Leung and Professor Way Kuo, University President, will officiate at a naming ceremony to be held on 22 December.
In addition, an award scheme for CityU students set up by Dr Leung and named after his mother, Ms Pang Miu-ping and mother-in-law Ms Yeung Lan, will also be launched at the ceremony.
Dr Leung is Chairman of SAE Magnetics (HK) Ltd and Chairman and CEO of TDK China Co Ltd. He was conferred the title of Honorary Fellow by CityU in 2010, and was a recipient of the University’s Distinguished Alumni Award in 2011. He is currently the Vice Chairman of the Executive Committee of the CityU Eminence Society, a senior alumni organisation.
