Some 50 student works demonstrating a high level of creativity will be showcased at the “Playful Media 2012” exhibition held by the School of Creative Media at City University of Hong Kong (CityU).
A range of projects will be shown under the theme “Social Media for Fun in Life” in four categories: games, animations, installations, photography and graphic design. For example, one animation tells the story of how technology today turns a human into an “iMan”; an interactive installation uses a light pen to create Chinese paintings in a virtual space; and a prize-winning mobile game allows players to rotate the device to move the screen and shoot cans from different angles.
The event has been organised by the Special Interest Group of the Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Creative Media programme. The student artists will be available to explain the creativity behind the projects and give live demonstrations.
