City University of Hong Kong (CityU), in support of its Discovery-enriched Curriculum and the growing importance of mobile technology, has been promoting e-learning and mobile learning schemes in recent years. Dr Andy Chun Hon-wai, CityU’s Chief Information Officer (CIO) who is in charge of the technical aspects of the schemes, will introduce at the press briefing CityU’s e-learning strategic plan and the allocation of HK$9m funds supporting the plan.

Dr Chun has recently received a CIO Award in Asia in recognition of the University’s innovative mobile technology and its use in the University-wide mobile web project. He will also introduce at the briefing the new technology used in the mobile web project.

In addition, two undergraduate students studying BBA and law respectively will share their rewarding e-learning experience.
