“On-road Plume Chasing System for on-road vehicle emission and ambient air quality inspection” media briefing and demonstration
A new mobile platform for chasing and analysing real-time vehicle emission factors and the ambient air quality has been developed by the School of Energy and Environment (SEE) at City University of Hong Kong (CityU). The platform monitors fine suspended particulates, nitrogen oxides and volatile organic compounds found in the plume of a target vehicle. The platform inspects the emission factors of vehicles aimed to identify high emitters and the source of roadside pollutants.
