WHITE WALLS HAVE EARS seminal exhibition, the first largest of its kind in Hong Kong, showcases the new sonic art works from most famous local artists including Leung Chi Wo, Edwin Lo, Cédric Maridet, Kingsley Ng, Anthony Yeung and Samson Young in December.
Sound art is enjoying a newfound celebrity status among the international art scene. For example, this year the 54th Venice Biennial Taiwan Pavilion used “sound” as protagonist of the exhibition and commissioned two artists Hong-Kai Wang and Yu-Hsien Su to investigate Taiwan’s social soundscape. WHITE WALLS HAVE EARS invited these six artists who are from the local music industry and contemporary art field, to explore the heard and unheard sound within the Creative Media Centre’s exciting structure, bringing audience a new and fresh seeing + hearing experience.
The proposed tour will offer the media a preview of these six spectacular sonic art installations. The curator Samson Young and artists will attend.
Also, the opening reception of exhibition will be held on the same day at 6:30pm
