Science and engineering student project exhibition (media tour)
We would like to invite you to cover the following event:
Event: Science and engineering student project exhibition (media tour)
Date: 30 May 2011 (Monday)
Time: 3:00 pm
Venue: Multi-purpose Rooms, 4/F Amenities Building, CityU
Waited for ages to catch a cab? Sick of swaying around in the backseat when the car is going round a corner? Visit the student project exhibition organised by the College of Science and Engineering at City University of Hong Kong to find solutions to these problems.
The exhibition will be held on 30 and 31 May 2011 from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm to showcase around 90 creative technology projects, including a cell phone application that links passengers to taxis through text messages, and another called ”Future Electric Vehicle” that stops passengers from swaying by balancing the centripetal force of the car. The technology adjusts the distance between the front and the rear wheels to keep the vehicle stable on different types of road.
Students from the college will be on hand to explain their creative ideas and concepts to the media.
