Students at City University of Hong Kong (CityU) will be able to study and share knowledge anytime, anywhere under a new mobile-learning (m-learning) scheme offering access to 400 sets of the iPad and the iPod Touch.

To enable the new technology, the University has transformed its existing Blackboard e-learning platform into a mobile-learning environment and added software for online opinion polls that allows students to respond instantly to teachers’ questions in class.

At the press briefing, Dr Andy Chun Hon-wai, Chief Information Officer, a member of the teaching staff and a group of students will introduce the scheme and share their experience of m-learning.
