One of the region’s top experts in combating fake websites and anti-phishing activities will discuss his latest research and demonstrate innovative software that he has developed to make the internet more secure.

Dr Liu Wenyin, Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science at CityU, will also discuss how businesses and consumers can protect themselves against online scammers more effectively.

Dr Liu was recently honoured with the Fellow Award of the International Association of Pattern Recognition for his anti-phishing research and contributions to the field of pattern recognition.
