City University of Hong Kong (CityU) will announce tomorrow (12 April) the first quarter 2010 findings of the Chinese Consumer Confidence Index, with comparisons between Beijing, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau.

 

The Chinese Consumer Confidence Index details consumer sentiment in mainland China, Macau, Hong Kong and Taiwan towards economic development, employment, consumer prices, living standards, housing purchases and stock investment.

 

The survey conducted since the first quarter of 2009 is a collaboration between six universities in the four locations, with CityU responsible for research in Hong Kong. Other participating universities include Capital University of Economics and Business, Central University of Finance and Economics, Renmin University of China, Fu Jen Catholic University in Taiwan, and Macau University of Science and Technology.
